What have I learned throughout the quarter so far?

  • So far, what I have learned in this course includes so much pertainiung to functions such as quadratic, square-root, cubic and linear functions, stretches or compressions, transforming linear functions, horizontally or vertically translating or reflecting them and so much more. At first just by visual contact, it seemed really hard and at first caused confusion but after continous practice, I got the hang of it.
How can you use the things you've learned in real-life situations?
  • When working on equations to find exact measurements/coordinates to plot can be used in several occupations or business projects. Such as scientists who take the numbers of the average rainfall each month, make calculations, and can plot points onto a scatter plot to find if values increase or decrease. As a sales person, you calculate the total amount of products you have sold in a specific time range and you look at the outcome and what it leads you to. You can either put your results onto a bar graph to compare what you have to previous years and actually helps you to make predictions on future results.
  • I myself can use these learned lessons in my life in various areas such as plotting my grades onto a scatter plot each time i get one, to see if it finalizes to have a positive or negative correlation.
